Broken bottom tab bar on RNN 8.8.1

What happened?

The bottom tab bar is broken (see screenshot). Before RNN 8.8.0, it was working well.
I've tried with a fresh install, a fresh node_modules install, a fresh pod install, and a fresh install app.

What was the expected behaviour?

Normal bottom tab bar like on RNN 8.8.0

Was it tested on latest react-native-navigation?

• I have tested this issue on the latest react-native-navigation release and it still reproduces.

Upgrading from RNN 8.8.0 to RNN 8.8.1

In what environment did this happen?

React Native Navigation version: 8.8.1
React Native version: 0.84.1
Has Fabric (React Native's new rendering system) enabled: (yes/no) yes
Node version: 22.17.0
Device model: iPhone 17 Pro
iOS version: 26.2

Same issue here since 8.8.1

It's still persistent on 8.8.2.
