How to start a container without devpod touching .gitconfig ?

We're doing our own thing with git and need devpod to NOT touch ~/.gitconfig. Ever. Add nothing, remove nothing, edit nothing.

How to do it? We're exclusively using the cli.

I’ve been over this before - avoid touching .gitconfig in the dockerfiles or devpod configs. The safest way is to use a .dockerignore with strict rules or rely on devpod’s own config defaults. Just check the devpod docs for defaults and confirm they don’t require overrides. Make sure the container starts with a clean state and nothing from the repo gets cloned in.
