Application Denied - Can't upload files

Hi everyone,

I tried getting GitHub Educational and I can't prove that I'm in my school because the files I need to upload (both in my native language and translated to English) can't be uploaded since the upload file button isn't present, only the Start Camera button is.

I have tried using my school's laptop camera to photograph the documents, but all my three applications have been denyed.

Would it be possible to find a workaround this so I could send these files directly from my computer, or could I get in touch with someone from Github so I could send them the files and for them to manually verify them?

Hi @alexandru-popi-montsia,

Unfortunately, the upload option isn't always available and manual reviews aren't provided so you have to submit a live photo using your device's camera.

If the photo is blurry, try again until it looks good as also indicated in the Student Developer Pack Application FAQs:

Your first and last name, complete school name, and a date demonstrating current academic affiliation must appear in your document.
Make sure the image is clear and easy to read; if it looks blurry, please take a new photo. 👈

Documents that prove your current student status include a picture of your school ID with current enrollment date, class schedule, transcript, and affiliation or enrollment verification letter.

So you can try with any of the above documents or anything that can prove your current student status.

If you need more assistance, contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

The problem is, I'm only able to take one picture and the document I physically have is in my native language, do I need to print out a copy of the translated document and snap that instead?

Hey @alexandru-popi-montsia, you should take a photo of your original academic transcript alongside the translated version. For further reference, take a look at this discussion, as this user solved it by doing this: #164204
