Is that GitHub Fundamentals Certificate still free for Students ? if yes how to get it? I cant able to find it

Yes, the GitHub Foundations Certification is still available, but only for free to verified students in github

I agree with the above. I've been trying to get my free voucher since summer 2025. I appreciate that vouchers were paused during the migration from PSI to Pearson Vue but at the moment in January 2026 I'm still getting error messages such as "this offer is not available, please try again later". I hope Github would be able to provide us a timeline for when new vouchers would be available.

Yes — students can still get the GitHub Foundations certificate for free, but there are two key things to know:

1. You must be a verified student through GitHub Education.
   Only verified students are eligible for the free exam voucher.

2. Get and use the free voucher from the GitHub Student Developer Pack.
   Once your student status is approved, the exam fee (normally around $99) is waived and you can take the GitHub Foundations certification at no cost.

Yup you click the link to claim voucher and takes you back to the home page of the student developer pack…

I am a verified student on GitHub, so, do you have any idea when the next coupons will open? This is the message being displayed, yet I'm unable to access it. "Current coupons expire on June 30, 2026. While supplies last."

I reached out to GitHub and appears they only get a set amount of vouchers to use. So currently there is no vouchers…

Yes, it is still free in 2026! The reason you can't find it easily is that GitHub recently moved their certification system to Microsoft Learn. To get it for free, you first need to be verified in the GitHub Student Developer Pack. Once you're in, go to the Foundations Certification Experience page and click 'Request a voucher code' to get a 100% discount. Then, when you schedule your exam on the Microsoft Learn site, just enter that code at the checkout to bring the price down to $0. Just a heads up—the current vouchers are valid until June 30, 2026, and they sometimes run out of monthly slots, so try to claim yours early in the month!
