Anyone having issues having agents access code and make edits?

In VS Code, on a typical day, I can have an AI agent scan through files, and make changes that I request them to make. Today however, it opens a browser in my IDE to look at a file, and cannot edit. I have went through permissions, and everything else you can think of to make sure they are in order, but to no avail. If anyone has seen this and can help that would be awesome.
