Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all contributors, regardless of experience level, background, or identity.

Standards

Expected Behavior

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language
  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Accept constructive criticism gracefully
  • Focus on what is best for the project and community
  • Show empathy towards other community members

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Personal attacks or derogatory comments
  • Public or private harassment of any kind
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Unprofessional conduct that creates an intimidating environment
  • Other conduct reasonably considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying standards of acceptable behavior and taking appropriate corrective action in response to unacceptable behavior.

Project maintainers have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all project spaces, including GitHub repositories, issue trackers, pull requests, and any public spaces where an individual represents the project.

Enforcement

Instances of unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the project team. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

Project maintainers are obligated to maintain confidentiality regarding the reporter of an incident.

Enforcement Guidelines

1. Correction

Impact: Minor inappropriate behavior or unprofessional conduct.

Consequence: A private, written warning providing clarity around the violation and an explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate.

2. Warning

Impact: A violation through a single incident or series of actions.

Consequence: A formal warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with the people involved for a specified period.

3. Temporary Ban

Impact: Serious violation of community standards.

Consequence: Temporary ban from any interaction or public communication with the project for a specified period.

4. Permanent Ban

Impact: Demonstrating a pattern of violations or sustained inappropriate behavior.

Consequence: Permanent ban from all public interaction within the project community.
