Here is the high-level plan for the current year
Note: Priorities may shift based on user feedback

📍 Q1 – Jan-Mar 2026

Focus: Core Functionality & Stability

• Content Projection: Visualization of relationships between content-projected components and host components (Completed in Release v0.2.0)
• Component & Directive Tree: Full support for Directives (Completed in Release v0.3.0)
• Maintenance: Support, bug fixes, and performance optimizations for current releases (Completed in Releases v0.3.0-0.3.3, closed issue #5 and issue #6)

📍 Q2 – Apr-Jun 2026

Focus: Scaling beyond limitations & Stability

• Scoped Graph: Visualization of user-selected Component sub-trees and Module hierarchies
• Validation: Real-time highlighting of software level warnings and errors
• External Routes: Support for external lazy-loaded route configurations
• Angular Libraries: Full support for Angular libraries
• Monorepos: Full support for NX workspaces and specific monorepos configurations
• UX Improvements: Redesign and organization of graph node context menus
• Maintenance: Support, bug fixes, and performance optimizations

🔮 Q3 – Jul-Sep 2026

Focus: Feature Completeness, JetBrains Support & Release v1.0.0

• Full Component Tree: Support for template pipes
• Full Navigation Map: Support for route resolvers and guards
• DI Hierarchy Graph: Support for DI providers, tokens, injectors, and services
• JetBrains Ecosystem Support: New extension for WebStorm, IntelliJ IDEA, and other IDEs
• Documentation: Wiki and video tutorial
• Technical Debt & QA: Test coverage increase and pre-v1.0.0 stabilization
• Official Release v1.0.0: Transition from Beta to Stable version and full feature completeness

Q4 – Oct-Dec 2026

Focus: The Code Liquidity Metrics Engine & User Workspace

• Architecture Digitizing: Theoretical foundation, empirical measurements, calibration and justification of Code Liquidity metrics
• Code Liquidity UI/UX: Embedding of liquidity metrics and insights into extension interface
• User Workspace: Defined storage for user state, cached data, and favorites

Future 2027

Reserved for new ideas, improvements, priorities, and community requests

• CLI & CI/CD Integration: Implementation of Code Liquidity digitizing and feedback in automated environments
• AI Integration: Architectural analysis and recommendations
• Debug & Test Mode: Animated data passing through Component tree with reports

Implemented Content Projection support in Release v0.2.0 🎉

The Demo will be updated soon to showcase this functionality. Also, the Roadmap will get some new goals.

Updated the Roadmap to reflect a more realistic timeline for Stable Release v1.0.0 and added future concepts for Q3-Q4 🚀

Key changes:

• Q1 Realignment: The focus has shifted more to Core Stability, Technical Debt & QA, prioritizing a solid foundation and code quality over shipping new features.
• Release v1.0.0 Strategy: The official v1.0.0 Release is now targeted for Q2. This ensures the stable version will be truly Feature Complete, including full support for the Angular ecosystem (Pipes, Guards, DI) and initial JetBrains support.
• Future Vision for Q3-Q4: Added high-level goals for User Workspace, Debug & Test Modes, and AI Integration to outline the long-term direction of GraphLens.
