CellBudgetFile for UZF package when set negative values for IUZFCB1

Hi FloPy Team,

I’m working with a GSFLOW model and am trying to extract infiltration fluxes from the UZF package. According to the manual, setting a negative value for IUZFCB1 should cause infiltration and unsaturated zone ET to be written to the CBB file. However, it seems these terms are not standard budget terms in the CBB file.

When I tried to read the CBB file using FloPy, I encountered the following error:
"Budget precision could not be auto determined."

Are there any known workarounds or suggestions for accessing these fluxes using FloPy?

As a quick test, can you try passing in precision="single" (and maybe precision="double" if single doesn't work) to the binary budget file reader and see if that helps? Unless there is a bug in GSFLOW in the writing of those UZF fluxes to the binary budget file, I think Flopy should be able to read those fluxes out of the binary file.

The UZF.cbb generated by putting a positive IUZFCB2 is ok with flopy, but this doesn’t include infiltration. When using negative, flopy failed

@NigelKinney, guessing that your GSFLOW model is rather large? Would it be possible to generate a shortened version of your model that includes input for only 2 days of total runtime so we can download and test locally? By only including 2 days worth of input, that should help reduce the size of the files to be transferred.
