I recently applied for the GitHub Pro for Education plan, and my application has been approved. However, my account has not yet been upgraded, and I do not have access to the Pro features.

Could you please assist me in activating my GitHub Pro for Education benefits?

Don't worry, that's because your benefits aren't available yet, you'll get a PRO badge on your profile once available:

The waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests; it usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks.

Once available, you can claim your Copilot PRO offer on this signup link.

To redeem others benefits, go to the pack offers page, scroll down to the "All offers" section and select any offer that suits you.

In case you encounter a problem claiming any offer, I recommend you raise a ticket here, select "I am a verified student having trouble redeeming my Global Campus offers" and explain your issue.

Unable to Access GitHub Education Benefits

I recently applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but I’m unable to access the education benefits on my account.

Could you please look into this issue and help me activate the benefits?

Subject: My College Not Listed in GitHub Education Application

Hello GitHub Education Team,

I recently applied for the Student Developer Pack using my personal email because my college does not provide a school-issued email.

My actual college is SPCAM, but it was not available in the dropdown list during the application process. Since both SPCAM and SPCRT belong to the same campus group, I selected SPCRT to proceed with the form.

However, I uploaded my official SPCAM student ID card as proof.

Could you please guide me on how to correctly verify my enrollment?

I can provide additional documents if required.

Hey, this sometimes happens even after approval. The upgrade isn’t always instant. Try logging out and back in, and check your Billing & Plans page to see if the Pro plan is reflected there.

If it still doesn’t update after a few hours, you’ll probably need to contact GitHub Education support again with your username so they can manually activate it.

It’s usually just a delay on their side, not an issue with your application 👍
