I checked with xz about manylinux2014, and they are comfortable with the failure - tukaani-project/xz#170 So I think manylinux2014 can just continue on with the older xz version. |

xz 5.8.0 has been released - https://github.com/tukaani-project/xz/releases/tag/v5.8.0
There was a Makefile error when I tried this on manylinux2014, so I've skipped that.
