• The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
• I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

• uBO is the only extension.
• uBO uses default lists and settings.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Sometimes I come across websites where the Element picker doesn't work properly due to the container-type property.

For example: ferra.ru, indicator.ru, letidor.ru, moslenta.ru, motor.ru, passion.ru, quto.ru, secretmag.ru, wmj.ru

I usually just add: ##html:style(container-type: unset !important)

But perhaps the Element picker should be improved to prevent such issues for regular users?

Steps to Reproduce

Open the page, scroll down, and then try using the Element picker.

Expected behavior

The element picker appears.

Actual behavior

Element picker does not appear.

Overall this looks like a bad implementation in Gecko/Servo.

There is a chance that Chrome below 129 has the same bug.

A fix for Firefox and perhaps old Chromium might require something like html:matches-css(container-type: /-/) to avoid crashing pages unprepared for any CSS container definition.

Try scrolling at least one screen, as if the picker were a screen too high.

Then maybe RU Net is not a good example without European or Asian IP.

Indeed, the problem doesn't always occur and doesn't occur in all configurations. Therefore, I added: easylist/ruadlist@4ad70e2

The video is not faked to burden the main programmer.

On a daily basis I only use Polish regional lists.

It would be useful to think about how to search whether it has already been reported on Bugzilla.
